Björn Brost
Founder · Digital-Literacy Educator
Björn Brost is the founder of Digital im Alter, a Zurich-based initiative helping seniors across Switzerland get comfortable with computers, tablets, and smartphones - the kind of practical, patient, one-on-one support that most digital literacy programmes overlook. His entrepreneurial streak goes back to founding his first mobile phone consultancy at sixteen, and after more than 25 years in IT and telecom, a chance encounter in 2016 revealed just how underserved seniors were as technology moved online faster than support for them did. Known locally as the "PC-Freak" for his calm, endlessly patient approach to solving people's tech problems, Björn left the corporate world behind to make this his full-time mission. On Decoding Wisdom, he gets into why digital exclusion is one of the most overlooked social crises of our time, what it actually means to be cut off from a world that's moved entirely online, and why the solution is often far simpler than people think.
